Mike Suskie writes "I won't lie: The Last of Us is too slow and too long, particularly when it's so low on fresh mechanics, and I often found myself wishing that Naughty Dog would stop making me prop up the umpteenth garage door with the umpteenth cart and just get to the point." "But it's the mark of exceptional storytelling that when I think back on The Last of Us, I don't recall those frustrations." "I recall the subtle musical cues, the ominous fungus spores floating across the load screen, the gut-wrenching sounds emitted by the zombies, and the haunting post-apocalyptic cityscapes." "I recall the people, the facial expressions, the quips, the confessions and the deaths." "The Last of Us is a serviceable game paired with one of the best cinematic stories ever told, and that's more than good enough."

The Last of Us is still a great game by the story, the characters Joel and Ellie, and the bond that develops between them during their journey. Graphically, the remastered version a lot nicer and the many DLC and the new Photo Mode gives you with this game a lot of content inside. Naughty Dog has done a good job, although it is unfortunate that it has not changed. The friendly AI Despite this niggle The Last of Us remastered remains a special experience, which is particularly highly recommended for newcomers.

Ex Naughty Dog Devs: Uncharted 4 "Is Gonna Be Awesome; Super Excited About it and Infinity Ward

Yesterday former Naughty Dog Narrative Design Lead Taylor Kurosaki and Lead Game Designer Jacob Minkoff left the studio to take on Narrative Director and Design Director positions respectively at Infinity Ward, and as usual many started to build doom and gloom narratives about the departure, linking them with those happened in the earlier months of the year. Those scenarios definitely seem to have little ground in reality, especially considering the reaction of former colleagues at Naughty Dog, many of which expressed on Twitter their outpouring support for the Kurosaki and Minkoff, giving a nice example of how close knit the team is despite natural departures that definitely happen in the industry.
